Temporal Relationship between cMyC and cTnI in Type 1 Myocardial Infarction

For patients with chest pain, cMyC is relatively higher than cTnI on early presentation, and then cTnI catches up.

Study

Study on a selected cohort of patients presenting within 3 hours of symptom onset with adjudicated type 1 AMI. In these early presenters, cMyC is relatively higher than cTnI on presentation and then cTnI catches up.

The more rapid rise of cMyC vs cTnI that we have observed in patients with type 1 AMI should enable their more rapid/accurate triage. How- ever, the diagnostic performance of cMyC, with and without cTnI, needs further evaluation.
